Very nice hotel, the room was well equipped, comfortable beds, shower pressure was great and warm water came immediately..it's funny to mentioned this, but after been in so many hotels you start noticing those details. The room was spacious 2 queen beds, big desk, a chaise long, small fridge, etc.The hotel in general is very good and I highly recommend it. The hotel doesn't have pool and I feel like it will be a must! But if you will be there for less than 3 days it's perfect. Location was great, it's walkable to Georgetown, but it's at least 30 to 40 min to National mall, we went there during the heat wave so it's better to take an uber and optimize your time, uber was around $10 so was pretty good. Also we found a parking lot for our car 2 blocks from the hotel (spot hero) $50 for 3 days (1150 24th street NW - 2400 M St.). The hotel has a small lobby, we didn't eat in their restaurant so I cant comment.

The front desk associates — Aaliya, Leslie, Stephanie, Lelise —- were extremely helpful with directions and recommendations. Plus, each night I went down and they filled my water bottle with ice for me. I have a bad knee and the ice helps immensely. They always smiled and said no problem, that’s my job. The door person was also friendly. His name was Nega and talked with us each day he worked. The people in the restaurant also took time to ask where you were from, if you were having a good time. My daughter recommended this hotel as her family had stayed there last year. She travels a lot so when she recommends some place, you know it is excellent. Most importantly, it was clean! Thanks, Melrose, for making our stay awesome!

The Melrose Hotel was very convenient to the function we were attending. The rooms were spacious, clean and included all the necessities needed for an overnight stay. The Beds are very comfortable. The front desk staff was nice and pleasant. This is a Historic building but kept up nicely and I enjoyed the refreshing cucumber/melon water in the lobby. The young man that helped with our bags was so pleasant. All of these made for a wonderful overnight stay. Oh, plus it was close to Georgetown which was a nice walk.

Our deluxe king room was huge! So much space! Very comfortable bed and nice linens. Hot shower and separate area for makeup. We had drinks at the lounge and dinner and Jasmine was so super nice! We had huge crab cakes and they were delicious! We attended an event at the Kennedy Center and the hotel was only about 5 minutes away. Great location for that. I wanted to mention the lobby because it has SO MUCH seating and very nicely designed! Classy!

The room size was excellent, very comfortable and clean beds with a great view. The employees there are super nice and helpful. Rooms are cleaned every day with a change of towels which is appreciated. It's only a 2-minute walk to the metro station Foggy Bottom-GWU and a 15-minute walk to downtown Georgetown. There was an umbrella in the room for us to use, which was helpful because it rained on our second day there.
